Why starting a Portuguese Podcast?
For the last few years, I have been searching for the best methods and ways to deliver the best Portuguese to anyone wanting to learn this beautiful language.
After many years of teaching one on one classes and in “normal schools”, I decided to become an online teacher. I had a lot of success teaching private classes, but not long after I decided I wanted more.
That’s when I developed my European Portuguese Master Course!
Students of all backgrounds joined it and I am very happy with the results! I see people improving and reaching their goals in Portuguese, and that is exactly what I wanted!
Meanwhile, I have also developed my Speech Course, which wants to tackle the speech part of the language and that aims to teach the elemental sounds of European Portuguese and how native speakers really speak.
But I have also come to understand that one important part of language learning is something that some people don’t realise: LISTENING.
This is why in the last few months I came up with my brand new membership course: Story Time – Interactive Stories. I want my students to focus on listening, as this will help them learn the language much faster! It is science, and I have experienced it myself, when I was learning Spanish in the streets of La Manga, playing with the other kids.
Well, this brings me to Mia’s Portuguese Podcast!
In an attempt to help you listening to the language as much as you can, I went ahead, and I have started a weekly podcast, that will allow you to listen to the language, even if you don’t have money or time to follow my other more complete course. This podcast also works really well in addition to any of the other courses, so feel free to mix and match!
You will be able to listen and exercise your brain to become acquainted with the sounds of Portuguese, in a fun and engaging way.
This will ultimately help you achieve fluency in Portuguese, if you stick to it! The more you listen, the more you will learn and the faster you will become fluent.

Alternatively, you can also – after listened to the podcast episode – go to my YouTube channel and watch the episode in YouTube format. There, you usually have the subtitles (EN/PT) included. Great Mia! I have just discovered your podcasts and what a superb way they are for listening to spoken European Portuguese! I´m only a beginner but with your Master Course (I´m only at A1/A2 at the moment ) and now these podcasts (obviously there´s loads I don´t understand but I get the gist and they are SO GOOD for pronunciation) I´ll make rapid progress.
